Inés,
slowly.

Inés Hernández, photographer. A visual diary between Gredos, the north of Spain, and the places in between: Japan, Patagonia, Austria, New York. Natural light, digital and film.

My name is Inés Hernández. I've been photographing since 2022 — first almost without noticing, and then I couldn't stop. What I care about happens slowly: the countryside in summer, the mountains in winter, the long lunch, the moment someone stops posing.

I go back to Gredos whenever I can — that's where my family is, the horses, the donkeys, the long walks. The rest of the year I live in Madrid and travel when I can: Argentina, Japan, Austria, Brazil, New York. Travel matters to me less for the destination than for how it teaches you to look at the place you return to.

I work with digital and film. I like photographs that don't try too hard. Natural light, quiet framing, no loud post-production. I think a good image is one that's still there months later, when you no longer remember why you took it.

This site gathers what I keep — series, travel notebooks, commissioned work. If anything you see interests you, write to me.

Let's talk?

Commissions, editorial work, slow projects. I prefer to start by email rather than by phone.
